Salem, W.V. – The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education is visiting the campus of Salem International University this week. The purpose of the visit is for the organization to assess where SIU stands as a School of Education in relation to national standards for accreditation.
NCATE, founded in 1954, is the teaching profession’s mechanism to help to establish high quality teacher, specialist, and administrator preparation.
